The Guild of Master Craftsmen are excited to promote the opportunities for young craftsmen and Apprentices currently available through the Heritage Crafts Association and The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST).
This incredible opportunity provides funding to enable Apprentices to learn craft skills within companies and from master craftsmen and to support employers to take on Apprentices and nurture a new generation of craftspeople.
Funding of up to £18,000 is available through The Queen Elizabeth Scolarship Trust (QEST).
The maximum available per apprenticeship is £18,000 over 3 years (or £6,000 per year) and is available to part-fund salaries, training costs and/or materials.
There is no upper age limit but the Award is primarily to fund those aged between 16 and 26 as Apprentices. Apprentices do not need previous work experience but will need to demonstrate passion for their craft and the dedication and commitment to make this a long-term career.
Closing date for applications for this Award: Thursday 3 August 2017
