Full-service building company Hayman Developments has been helping bring their customer’s construction dreams to fruition ever since it was founded, five years ago.
Based in Surrey, the family run business is still relatively young. However, owner and Managing Director Adam Hayman has brought an impressive wealth of experience and knowledge to the table, with a career in all things building-related that stretches back nearly 30 years.
A team of around 15 sub-contractors, including dedicated in-house architects have created made-to-measure builds in Cobham and surrounding towns and villages such as Esher and Oxshott, quickly gaining an outstanding reputation with satisfied private, executive and high-end commercial clientele.
At any one time, the thriving company is usually undertaking several different projects. Alongside new builds, these also include extensions, conversions (loft and garage) and renovations to both contemporary and period homes. Regardless of the scale of the project the level of service remains the same for every project, from start to finish. Hayman works both on modern contemporary projects and ones that require them to return a period property to its former glory. It can create the best of both worlds that combines a traditional home with a subtle modern twist.
Undertaking any kind of property conversions can be daunting task, especially when it involves alterations to period or luxury homes. Hayman offers advice and support throughout the project and will apply for planning permission on behalf of a client, if requested. An architect from the company draws up plans for the client’s approval, structural calculations are worked out and the process of planning permission is taken care of.
Other services the company offer include restoration work, high-end joinery (which takes place in their Guildford joinery yard), hand-built kitchens and bespoke walk-in wardrobes.
Heightened awareness for protecting the environment is also leading to an increase in clients requesting eco-friendly new builds. This means the plans drawn up by Haymans’ architects often accommodate solar panels, ground-heat sourced pumps and biomass converters, with government grants factored into the overall cost.
Hayman depends on word-of-mouth recommendations and as a result the company is now attracting clients in London’s affluent enclaves of Chelsea, Kensington and Knightsbridge.
