Tudor Bookbinding Launches New Websites

Tudor, the Leicester based specialist bookbinders,  have been members of the Guild of Mastercraftsmen for nearly a quarter of a century and have found that the new-look Guild site has prompted them to follow suit & make their own site more user-friendly.

Tudor have a wealth of knowledge & experience in book restoration & bookbinding, dating back to 1992.  Their Managing Director, Ian Chamberlain, attained his City & Guilds in Bookbinding & Restoration at Leicester Southfields College, now Leicester College.

“Our current web-site www.tudor-bookbinding.co.uk, covers everything we do as a company &  I felt that it was time to showcase some of the work that gets lost in the small-print & make it stand out.”, he said. “The idea behind the web-sites was that they should be easy to understand, not full of jargon or marketing speak, making it accessible to the public as well as the print industry.”

www.bookrestorationbytudor.co.uk, has been designed to cover the book restoration that the company can do, highlighting some of the recent projects that have been completed.

Its’ sister site www.bookbindingbytudor.co.uk, puts more emphasis on creating new books, rather than restoring existing ones, also giving students their own page with thesis binding as its theme.

“The sites have been well received so-far, with customers commenting on how refreshing it was to have single topic sites, rather than having to hunt for the bit of information that they need.”, remarked Ian.
